Who is responsible for your data

Testa Atelier is the freelance technical design studio of Chiara Martiner Testa, who is the data controller for the information described here. You can contact me about anything in this notice at chiara@testaatelier.com.

What the form collects

  • Your name and email address
  • Your brand or company name, if you give it
  • What you need, the number of styles and your timeline, if you give them
  • The project details you write in the message

Please do not include sensitive personal information in the message. The site sets no cookies and uses no analytics or tracking.

Why it is collected

Your details are used only to reply to your brief, ask follow-up questions and send a quote. If you go ahead with a project, they are used to manage that project. They are never sold, shared for marketing or added to a mailing list.

The lawful basis under UK data protection law is legitimate interests, in replying to an enquiry you chose to send. Where you go ahead with a project, the basis is taking steps to enter into a contract with you.

Who processes it

The form is delivered by Formspree, which passes your submission to my email inbox. Formspree is based in the United States, so your submission is transferred outside the UK. That transfer is covered by Formspree's data processing terms and the safeguards they set out. The site is hosted by Netlify, which may keep standard server logs, such as IP addresses, for security.

How long it is kept

If your enquiry does not become a project, your details are deleted 12 months after our last contact. If it does become a project, records needed for invoicing and accounts are kept for 6 years, as UK tax rules require. Everything else is deleted 12 months after the project ends.

Your rights

Under the UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018 you can ask to see the data held about you, to have it corrected, or to have it deleted. You can also object to its use or ask for its use to be restricted.

To request deletion or use any of these rights, email chiara@testaatelier.com with the subject "Data request". You will get a reply within one month, and your data will be deleted from my inbox and from Formspree.

Complaints

If you are unhappy with how your data has been handled, please contact me first. You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) at ico.org.uk or on 0303 123 1113.
